Ramón Bilbao Viñedos de Altura 2020

An innovative concept which combines the best of Rioja, using grapes from areas which share similar conditions due to their altitude (around 700m above sea level): Tempranillo from Ábalos (planted 1930) and Garnacha from La Pedriza (planted 1969). Maceration occurs before fermentation to extract all the aromas and colour. The two grapes are fermented separately (Tempranillo around 28 º, Garnacha at 26º) to keep their varietal character. The wine is aged in new French Barrels for 14 months and spends a further 8 months in the bottle. The style is elegant and fresh.
