Finca Río Negro 5º Año 2018

Our limited production, top of the range wine. 5º Año (5th year) refers to the time it takes to create this wine, a long, gentle process. After carefully hand selecting the grapes from our best plots of Tempranillo and Cabernet (very low yielding) the wine ferments in foudres and then spends 19 months in new French Allier oak barrels and 30 months in the bottle. The nose is deep and complex with a prevalence of blackberries, balanced with spice and smokey notes. Powerful, elegant and full-bodied with a very long aftertaste.
