Finca Río Negro 2019
Spain, VdlT Castilla
Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
EXW €8.55
Description
The first wine ever made at Finca Río Negro. Hand-picked, from low yielding vines (< 5,000 kg/ha) on ancient loam clay soils with limestone rock. The wine undergoes a cold maceration before a slow fermentation in stainless steel. After the malolactic fermentation it is aged for 12 months in medium toast French Allier (75 %) and American (25 %) oak barrels. The final result is powerful and elegant, showing a full body and a long aftertaste. The nose is intense with a complex prevalence of blackberries and subtle mineral hints and balsamic notes
