Masdeu is sourced from a singular vineyard, among the oldest in Scala Dei, meticulously tended by the Carthusian monks. This wine marks the revival of a winemaking legacy lost in Priorat. Crafted in the traditional manner predating the 1970s, it stands as a testament to our commitment to reclaiming historical practices. Among our wines, Masdeu stands out, purposefully revealing the diverse expressions of Grenache in Scala Dei—each influenced by factors such as altitude, soil composition, and winemaking techniques.
