La Rioja Alta

On 10 July 1890, five families who shared the same passion for wine founded La Rioja Alta, S.A. Today the Estate is run by their descendants, and recognised as a bastion of traditional Rioja. All their reds combine tradition and innovation: they age for extended periods in barrels made in-house, racking by hand and by candlelight - but monitor the entire process with state-of-the-art machinery and an onsite laboratory. La Rioja Alta S.A. never stopped experimenting and pushing for better quality, offering some of the purest, precise expressions of Tempranillo in the world.
