Finca Río Negro

In 1998, the Fuentes Family established Finca Río Negro reviving the once famous wine tradition which thrived before phylloxera arrived in the region. We are located at the foothills of the Sierra Norte Guadalajara Natural Park at the unusually high altitude of 1,000 metres and 60 kilometres from any other vineyard. The bodega has 44 hectares of vines divided into 36 different plots of Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Gewürztraminer. Finca Río Negro wines are hand-harvested and estate bottled. We are in conversion to organic wine production.
